Get your camera’s ready for your first stop! Pennington Bay is one of Kangaroo Islands most impressive stretches of coastline. Famous for its rocky coasts and incredible views of deep blue and aquamarine ocean it is a favourite among local surfers and a popular fishing spot.

Next visit the township of Kingscote, the largest town on the island and South Australia’s oldest European settlement. Located on the beautiful shores of Nepean Bay you will enjoy free time to explore the main street, purchase souvenirs, enjoy the beachside views or relax at a local café and chat with locals. Kingscote is also home to a colony of the smallest penguins in the world, the little penguin, so keep an eye out!

Enjoy a scenic drive past Reeve’s point, originally designated to be the Capital of South Australia and take a moment for a photo-op. Remnants of the site’s rich heritage remain such as pieces of the historic jetty and the Old Mulberry Tree, planted in 1836. Also see the amazing silo art featuring Australia’s largest Kangaroo and Glossy Black Cockatoo.

Continue to Island Beehive, where you can observe a functioning beehive, browse local wares, and purchase some of the famous Ligurian Bee Honey that the island is known for. We highly recommend scooping up a tub of their honey ice-cream to enjoy on your trip!
